Some of my friends are in China at the Olympics. What fun I think and here I am in Minnesota. Then they send photos - I feel even worse, I am missing all the fun and the beauty. I watched the opening ceremonies on TV and was struck by the artistry and the cohesiveness of all the performers. Their trim figures, glowing complexions and their endurance and flexibility. What do they eat , that gives them such strength?
Then I get more photos, which I am posting here. I love Minnesota and the food that we eat. I can watch the Olympics on TV with no problem, while chilling out with my hot-dish, pizza or chow mein. All of a sudden, my world seems much brighter and with a little moisurizer, my complexion glows.
Anyone care to fly to C
hina for supper?

If you can get past the names nad the heavy spices...it's most likely not bad!
William - I would have trouble getting past the ingredients - yukky. It is definitely a cultural thing.
Kathleen, a friend of mine lived for 7 years in China (teaching), and she said that to decline to eat something that was offered to you was a HUGE insult. She said that fortunately, she was never served dog.
That would be tough.
My Mom was a feeder and to decline something she offered was an insult, too. The worst was lutefisk.
I looked at the pictures first and thought "yummy", until I read what it was!
Cheryl , It does look good, at least.
With those choices, I wouldn't have any problems losing weight!!!! YUCK!!!!
Michelle- Maybe I should promote this as a Diet Aid!!!
Your friends are lucky!!! Looks like some interesting dishes.
Thanks for sharing, have a great week!
Andy - You have a great week too and stay away from the Goat Lungs with red peppers - I hear they were a bit hot!!!!!
I think I am going to loose my lunch!
Barbara-Jo & Bill - - Florida Realty Professional - AHWD (Charles Rutenberg Realty)
Keep your lunch to yourself, please LOL
Its all in the presentation... I also thought it looked good from the pictures until I saw what it was..
Glen - as a home stager we like to think that presentation is most important, but I guess it depends on what you are presenting LOL
OMG - the pictures make it look so good, but then I read the captions.... eewwwww. But I bet they do taste good.
Georgina - It does look very yummy in the photos.
Well that certainly ruined my appetite Kathleen! I heard that the eateries were told to take dog off the menu during the olympics. On the sadder side of the story, dogs used for food are raised and treated deplorably in China. In fact, when they take them to market they tie their front legs behind their back so they can't get away. Just one more reason to boycott products made in China as far as I'm concerned.
Terry - I have seen photos of huge cages of dogs balanced on a bicycle going to market - so sad.
