Brainerd Lakes Real Estate News

Self Contained Bundles of Sunshine

Year around self-contained bundles of sunshine, holding a list of immune boosting nutrients and antioxidants that go well beyond a large dose of Vitamin C.  We are talking citrus, baby!  Even in the shortest, darkest most frigid Minnesota winter, citrus emerges in the produce departments.  Ruby Red Grapefruit, Meyer Lemons, Key Limes and Blood Oranges are a few of the favorites.  Easy to pack and goorange and lemon, even their colors please the eye.

Fairly long lasting (especially their faux counterparts) they also make excellent pops of color for home staging purposes.

Eat some and display the rest, you will have the best of both worlds.

Kathleen do you remember one of my first posts about using real lemons and limes in a vacant staging?  Margo and I were horrified when we went back two weeks later and they were moldy!  Yuch!  :)  Since then we only used the faux fruits and vegetables - they never molded but did sometimes disappear...  I heartily agree with you about eating citrus all through the winter months - makes you feel better just thinking about the warm places they came from. Betty

Fresh fruit is my favorite part of summer!  Unfortunately, I need to wait until January for the pomegranates to come in season.

Betty - those were the good old days.  For a  weekend of showings the real ones do ok. For the long haul, go faux!!!

Kristina - they just had a shipment of pomegranates arrive at our local Wally World. We got a mango and it was delish.
