The Good, The Bad and The Ugly- which one of these terms best describe your property? If it is going on the market - the bad and the ugly need to change. I know change is hard and sometimes painful, but it is for the best.
You see, prospective buyers have the power to choose. They will not choose the ugly with its outdated rust shag carpet, dark faux wood paneling and blue toilet. Why should they, when they can choose a pristine updated move- in ready good?
Surely they won't choose the bad, with a leaky roof and stained ceilings. There is probably a good just down the block which shows well and has no bargaining chips for them to stress over.
If you are getting ready to sell and are willing to make changes - call Re$ale Design & Home Staging in the Brainerd Lakes area of Minnesota. For your leaky roof call Quality Roof Systems. Tell them Blondie sent you!

Kathleen, great play on words!
Kathleen, when put like this why would sellers not get it when they have to know that their home is that last two, NOT the first. I spoke with a realtor today that said...the ONLY houses in our area that are selling today are those, 1)in a good location, 2)priced right and 3)in great condition and staged. So when I asked her why I haven't heard from her in 6 months...her answer, buyers won't go for it. That's a bad & ugly answer in my book. Ahhhh!
Kathleen I was always a Clint Eastwood fan - just didn't know how to tie him in with staging. Great post - love the play on words just as Kristina did. :) Betty
Kathleen - This is such a cute post and very true.. The owner of one of my recent occupied staging jobs had Clint Eastwood posters all over the downstairs family room.. I let him keep one.. God bless,
Hey, Blondie! Very cute! Who the heck would choose bad OR ugly???
Kristina - Thanks, those old movies get my creative juices going.
Ginger - The Realtors need to get more pro-active. Sellers would go for it if they got better info.
Tell them my story - maybe they like western analogies.
Betty - I guess I just roped him in!
Oh Kathleen you are good with words. LOL Betty
