Brainerd Lakes Real Estate News

Go Away - Snow!

Just when I think that I will be able to soon see green blades of green peeking out of the white fluffy stuff - it snows. Not just a dusting, or a mere frosty blanket, no!  I am talking about two feet of the  white stuff. Now being a born and bred in Minnesota gal, I know that it will eventually disappear and Spring will come.  It just is not going to happen any time in the near future.

We usually try to make the most of our lovely andsnowman yet unpredictable

Minnesota weather and so here is a snowman for you.  He portrays

the best of  our talented Minnesota Niceness.

Welcome from the Brainerd Lakes - where outdoor and indoor recreational opportunites abound. Looking to buy on one of our many lakes? Ready to move up or down?  Having trouble selling your home? Falling behind on payments or already in the foreclosure process? I am a Certified Short Sale Specialist as well as a Home Staging Expert.

Kathleen,

I'm a Realtor in the Twin Cities.  I saw what you guys got this weekend.  It is terrible.  It doesn't help the housing one bit.  I just can not wait until it is at least 50 degrees everyday and no more chance for snow too!!!

It's FINALLY warming up here in Indiana.  Yeah for Spring!

Kathleen -

Here in tropical Chicago, to the South, it's been snow non-stop since December 1st.  Hopefully, we're done for this year.

I really do believe some Spring home shoppers have delayed their plans because of the bad weather, always grey.

Before you know it, warm weather WILL return - followed closely by the State Bird of MN - the mosquito!

Stop in or call anytime!

Okay Kathleen....you have helped me to appreciate the 48 degree weather we are having here in New Jersey.  My sympathies......where is global warming when we need it?!

Kathleen ~  Noooo!  You can't be getting snow now - it's Spring; it's April!  I love that picture of the snowman though!

Kathleen - I love the snowman and can appreciate his frustration and disgust with the white stuff.  It sure doesn't have the same appeal as it may have on December 21st.  Think spring!

Kathleen...love the snowman, but please keep him over there in Minnesota.  I can so relate...they were threatening snowfall here later in the week.  I refuse to agree with the prediction.  It was 60 degrees today. :)

Dean - no mosquitoes yet, but the wood ticks are already busy. Actually, I think they are deer ticks and very tiny- like a moving freckle.

Janelle - no global warming here must be heading your direction.

Hello Kathleen,

Last Saturday my lawn was visible along with a few other items my dog left behind last winter, when Monday morning rolled along I found about 10 inches of snow covering the yard.  One great thing with the snow is the run off for the lakes, it sure helps when marketing a home on the lake to have water in it.  Have a great day.

Hi Kathleen,

That snowman is cracking me up! I love the snow but I'm ready for spring now and will be so depressed at this point if we get more snow. "Hang" in there! :)

Kevin - People  with lake homes do appreciate having water in the lakes, or ice or snow.

That is a great photo.  It's how most people feel about the winter weather.

/Thanks Steve - they are suggesting that we may get a bit of snow this week end. We have the Governor's fishing opener in 2 weeks and the lakes are not thawed - could be interesting.
