My Mother-in-Law and her friends are card carrying members of the Lakes Area Senior group. One of their favorite days is doughnut day, which happens every Thursday. The Senior Center turns out about 130-200 dozen doughnuts each week and has been in the doughnut making business for 25 years. These doughnuts are then sold to help the center fund its operation. This is their 3rd largest fund raiser.
Volunteers are needed on Thursday to help on
the doughnut crew. Crew members run a doughnut making machine, mix batter, apply frosting, cinnamon sugar, or sprinkles to the doughnuts or box them up.
Sound like fun? Do you like to get up really early? They start at 3 am. If that doesn't suit your schedule, you can always go there and buy a doughnut. Singles are sold from 8-10 am on Thursdays. Need more that one or want to help make them? Call 218-829-9345.

I like the advertisement for doughnut tasters, it got my attention as I LOVE DOUGHNUTS! To bad it is so far away, because I do like to sacrifice myself for a good doughnut!
