Kathleen,

I just hosted a staging class for three days, WOW what you guys do makes a huge difference! I now will start letting my agents know why they need to hire a stager to come in and help sell the home. I was so impressed by the class (approx 24hours) that my view has changed on how important it is.
Keep up the great work!

Great list Kathleen! Love the disclaimer that is priceless! Can I interject and ask Jeff what he meant by "hosted" a staging class? Just curious... maybe he can blog separately on that. thanks

Kathleen: All good points. Here's one to add: spend less time marketing your listing (not just less money)

I think that staging is one of the best things an agent can offer a client.

Kathleen ~ My eyes hurt looking at the picture, I can't imagine what it would be like in real life!  Great points, and I'm sure there are many Realtors who "get it".  If not, they should, at the very least, try it once before being dead set against it.

OMG, I looked directly at the photo.....  I hope there are no lasting effects.

Great list Kathleen!

Another one is that by calling a Home Stager as part of your team, a Realtor elimnates the fear they may have of having to be the "bad guy" when it comes to telling a seller what needs to be done to prepare the home for sale.  Home Stagers are trained to be the "eyes of the buyer" that can help not hurt the sale.

Kathleen, it has to be asked -- where did you get that photo? Your points (as well as the added points) are all great and right on! Another member of the choir says, "Amen sister!!!"

I was wondering what you would do about the horrid wallpaper in the picture. How could you stage the area to take someones attention from it? Besides tearing it off the wall to paint?

Kathleen:  If more agents only knew that staging benefits them as much as the homeowner.  Thank you for spreading the word!
