Elvis Spotted at Bethany Good Samaritan

elvis    He's baaaccckkkk. That is right -Elvis was here in Brainerd - singing and strutting his stuff and was last seen at the Bethany Good Samaritan Care Center entertaining the residents and staff members.  Elvis on most days can be found working as an engineer for  School District #181 on the South Campus. Once a year, you can catch him in the act at the Miss Brainerd Lakes pageant held in the Tornstrom auditorium in Brainerd.

Bill  Musel,  a.k.a. Elvis, moved to the Brainerd area about 16 years ago and  began his side career with the Up North Family Theater that was located in the Brainerd Armory. Now Bill can be found performing in plays at the Central Lakes College and enjoys doing the Elvis impersonations for fun. He also likes making people laugh and tries very hard to get a smile on the residents' faces.

Keep your eyes open for someone that looks kind of like Elvis - wearing a gold lame cape, sunglasses and lots of sparkles - it could be Bill or it could be Elvis.

Kathleen ~ Your post reminded me of the garage sale I did with my sister last year at her house.  Who should stop by but Elvis! It was the middle of the day, but this guy was dressed to the nines, and was a very quick wit.  He did actually buy something too.  I could not resist saying "Thank you, thank you very much", as he left!

I got into the Elvis gig just for the fun of it. I've found out that you can use Elvis for alot of different venues. People of all ages can relate to him. I remember the garage sale. I was coming from a gig and stopped in. That's the fun of what I do. Glad I brightened someones day. Bill The King Musel

Kathleen, is that a gold "lame" cape he wears or a gold lamay (spelled as sounds)  cape?  Sorry just had to say it.  Too bad your keyboard couldn't put the accent over the "e".  Would have sounded so cosmopolitian!  I think that when Elvis died they took his DNA and cloned him because I see Elvis advertised all over the place!

Hi Kathleen:  What a great statue.  It is Elvis... see !   I knew he was still with us.  By the way, I heard of someone walking around Madeline Island in Wisconsin who saw a similar golden statue of a good-looking gentleman playing the French horn.  It turned out to be Eric Kodner.  I wonder if he knew Elvis ?

Kathleen~That statue is really cool looking actually. Elvis does seem to find his way around still.

Karen Anne - Wasn't Eric, Elvis' younger brother?  I will have to hit up Madeline Island this summer, I guess.

Julie - When "Elvis left the building"  I think he went on tour. I have seen Elvis impersonators of every race and color. The last one was quite old and had a heavy Greek accent and a huge belt buckle. We were afraid the weight would topple him over.

That picture of Elvis is awsome.  Pictures say a thousand words!  How does one add pictures to a blog?

Hi Jess:  Try this... it is a tutorial about pictures and text.  It might help.

AR Tutorials - Flowing Text Around Picture Images

Posted by Fort Worth Real Estate - - - Karen Anne Stone (HomeFindersDFW) over 2 years ago

Thanks Karen Ann for helping Jess - .

Short lesson  Jess - click on tree picture  then in the new window click on box with red lines, then browse will put you into your computer and you go to where you store your photos.  I always put mine on my desktop before I do the blog and name them something appropriate starting with a and they show up first thing.

click on photo, enter, upload photo.

Now the photo is in the window and the image URL is filled in.

You fill in description "Elvis Statue" and Title "Elvis statue" so when you wave your magic wand over the Elvis photo that is what it says.

Then click on appearance tab and set the size to about 250x3333 or less and I usually place alignment to the right.

The tutorial is great and helps with how you line up with your blog text.
