Two area highways will experience traffic slow downs as they are slated for surface coatings.
- Highway 6 from the Mississippi River to South of Emily in Crow Wing County (about 6 miles) and Highway 6 from Remer to Highway 2 in Cass and Itaska Counties (about 21 miles)
- Highway 371 from Backus to Hackensack in Cass County (about 7 miles)
A pilot car and flag personnel will be in charge of controlling the traffic. Any motorists traveling through these areas should allow extra time during the day from sunrise to sunset.
Slow down and be alert for workers and equipment.
If all goes as planned the work should be completed by the end of June.
